Consultation on Generator dispute Resolution Templates

Policy
Stakeholder comment is sought on templates referred to in the Draft WEM Procedure: Dispute Resolution Process for Existing Transmission Connected Generating Systems, which was released for consultation in December 2020.
Last updated:

The Dispute resolution mechanism under Section 1.42 of the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) Rules allows for the referral of disputes relating to the registration of generator performance standards (GPS) or a generator monitoring plan for Existing Transmission Connected Generating Systems to arbitration. The related draft WEM Procedure: Dispute Resolution Process for Existing Transmission Connected Generating Systems, was released for consultation in December 2020.

The process for referral of a dispute to arbitration outlined in the draft WEM Procedure requires the completion of two forms - the GPS Dispute Resolution Notice template and the GPS Dispute Resolution Notice Response template. These forms, once completed, will contain information to assist the Coordinator of Energy in determining whether to refer a dispute to arbitration.

These templates are now available for consultation for a period of 1 week. Please provide any feedback on the templates by no later than 5:00pm, 18 February 2021 to: energytransformation@energy.wa.gov.au
