The Government of Western Australia’s Cyber Security Policy specifies the measures WA Government entities are required to undertake to manage their cyber security risks.

Cyber security refers to the measures used to protect digital information, information systems and assets from cyber threats and ensure their confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

While cyber security risks cannot be eliminated, a comprehensive and systematic approach to cyber security, such as the approach outlined in the 2024 WA Government Cyber Security Policy, will assist WA Government entities in reducing the level of cyber security risk to its operations and information.
