Complaint fees
The standard complaint fee is $120 and concession fee is $60. These fees are current from 1 July 2024 and are exclusive of GST.
Complaint form
This is an approved form for lodgement of a complaint relating to a regulated building service or a home building work contract (HBWC) under section 5(1) and (2) of the Building Services (Complaint Resolution and Administration) Act 2011 (WA).

Utilising the online form is the Department’s preferred method as it will allow you to make payment via the Department’s secure payment gateway resulting in your complaint being considered lodged upon submission. Please remember that once payment is made you need to return to the online form page to submit your complaint.
Should you be unable to utilise the online form you may use PDF version of the complaint form. It is recommended that you do not use this form unless you are intending on attending the Building and Energy office to deliver the form and pay the complaint fee in person. Due to security restrictions, credit card payments cannot be accepted when using this form unless paying in person. Please note, should you use the PDF version of the form your complaint will not be considered lodged until such time as the form is provided to this office and payment is made.
