On 6 December 2022, the Western Australian Government announced it would progress to the detailed design phase for the Renewable Hydrogen Target. This includes work by Energy Policy WA on an electricity generation scheme, and work by the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation on a broader scheme encompassing multiple end uses.
Renewable Hydrogen Target Consultation Paper
In October 2022, Energy Policy WA published a consultation paper seeking feedback on the design of a Renewable Hydrogen Target for electricity generation in the SWIS.
The consultation paper presented a summary of options for this design. Stakeholders were invited to provide feedback by 5pm (WST) Thursday 10 November 2022.
