MRS Major Amendment 1404/41 – Roe 8 Remainder and Roe 9 (Removal of Primary Regional Roads reservation) – Outcome of Amendment

It is hereby notified for public information that the Roe 8 Remainder and Roe 9 (Removal of Primary Regional Roads Reservation) amendment to the Metropolitan Region Scheme has been submitted before both Houses of Parliament in accordance with the provisions of section 56 of the Planning and Development Act 2005.

The amendment, as depicted on Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) plan number 3.2807, is effective on and from 29 November 2024.

The amendment reclassifies portions of the Primary Regional Roads reservation and some nearby Urban zoned land to the Parks and Recreation reservation. Other portions of the Primary Regional Roads reservation and nearby Parks and Recreation reservation are transferred to the Urban zone. The total amendment area is approximately 58 hectares.

By virtue of section 126(1) of the Planning and Development Act 2005, the City of Cockburn Local Planning Scheme No. 3 and the City of Fremantle Local Planning Scheme No. 4 are amended to give effect to the reservation(s) included in Metropolitan Region Scheme Amendment 1404/41.
