Overview
Commissioning provides an opportunity to innovate and plan for the future.
It enables Government, community sector, Aboriginal community controlled organisations and members of the community to collaborate and create services that best fit the needs of the WA community.
For family and domestic violence services, this work is proceeding in two phases:
Phase One: Refuge and safe house funding sustainability so that our services can continue to be provided in a viable and customer-focused way.
Phase Two: Developing a strategic commissioning plan for all family and domestic violence services funded by the Department of Communities.
The Strategic Commissioning Plan will establish a blueprint for the ideal composition of family and domestic violence services. It will set out opportunities for reform within the existing suite of services, priorities for future investment and a plan for the management of assets (buildings) from which family and domestic violence services are provided.
