Last updated:

Changes to the Access Code have been progressed to extend key target dates which apply to Western Power’s sixth access arrangement (AA6) period by 12 months, to commence on 1 July 2028.

The Electricity Networks Access Code 2004 requires the Economic Regulation Authority (ERA) publish a ‘framework and approach’ document, which sets out the services that will be regulated through the access arrangement and the incentive mechanisms that will apply.

The extension to key dates will allow for the resolution of key uncertainties prior to the publication of the framework and approach document by the ERA and the submission of Western Power’s proposed revisions for AA6.
