Aboriginal Procurement Policy Performance Reports

Agency performance against the targets under the Aboriginal Procurement Policy (APP)
Last updated:

The Aboriginal Procurement Policy commenced on 1 July 2018 and mandates progressive targets for the award of contracts to Aboriginal businesses.

The Department of Finance is committed to monitoring and measuring the impact of the Policy’s introduction and detailing the contracting success of the Aboriginal business sector.

The reports outline achievements and outcomes under the Policy in each financial year.

*Two large value contracts were awarded to registered Aboriginal businesses in the 2018-19 period and retrospectively entered into TendersWA. Therefore, the total value of contracts awarded has increased from over $167 million to over $262 million. This has not materially affected the 2018-19 percentage of contracts awarded. Please note the Aboriginal Procurement Policy First Year Performance Report 1 July 2018 – 30 June 2019 is the original report and has not been revised.
