The State Government is committed to ensuring that all Western Australian seniors continue to benefit from digital technology including the WA Seniors Card upgrade.

A planned website outage due to a scheduled upgrade is underway.

Users with an existing online Seniors Card account will be required to re-verify their login details soon.

Why does the WA Seniors Card website need an update?

The WA Seniors Card website update will be updated to the latest operating version to enable a better user experience for all users.

The online account allows you to:

  • Update your personal details.
  • Apply for the Cost-of-Living Rebate.
  • Apply for the Safety and Security Rebate.
  • Check past payments.
  • View important membership information such as your WA Seniors Card number and current Smart Rider number.

When is the upgrade taking place?

Across the Labour Day weekend from close of business Friday 1 March 2024. The upgrade is estimated to be completed by Tuesday 5 March 2024.

What does the upgrade mean for me?

If you have an existing online WA Seniors Card account, you will be automatically logged out of the WA Seniors Card website as the upgrades occur.

You will not be able to access the WA Seniors Card website until after the upgrade is completed.
 

What do I do once the website has been updated?

Once the website has been updated and restored, you will need to log into your online account and reset your password for security purposes.

To do this, please click the LOGIN button and enter your email address and password. You will be prompted to reverify your online Seniors Card account via an invitation link sent to your email address. Please check your junk folder if you have not received the email in your inbox.

Once clicked, this link will direct you back to the WA Seniors Card login page to proceed with logging in successfully. Reset your password to meet an enhanced level of password security requirements.

What if I need more help?

Call us during business hours on 1800 671 233 or email info@seniorscard.wa.gov.au and our friendly team will be able to help by providing support in regaining access to your online WA Seniors Card account.

I need a replacement card when the website is unavailable, what do I do?

If you require a replacement card or any other service whilst our website is unavailable due to the planned upgrade, we can still do things the old-fashioned way and email or post you a form to complete and return to us.

Post-upgrade: How do I login using my existing Seniors Card account?

  1. Go to the WA Seniors Card website and click LOGIN at www.seniorscard.wa.gov.au
  2. Enter your last known email address and password. You will then receive an email to verify your account. Please check your junk folder if you cannot locate the email in your inbox.
  3. Once you have clicked the link, you have successfully verified your account. This link will direct you back to the WA Seniors Card login page.
  4. Please ensure you change your password to improve your password security.

Post-upgrade: I’m a new member and want to apply online

  1. Click the REGISTER button.
  2. Select “Never had a WA Seniors Card?
  3. Follow the prompts to submit your details.
  4. Once you have entered your email address and password, you will be required to verify your email address for security purposes.
  5. An email will be sent to you containing a unique PIN with a link to verify your email address. This PIN will expire after 120 minutes. Promptly enter this PIN on the WA Seniors Card website to verify your email account.
    Important: Protect your pin. Do not share this PIN with anyone.
  6. Your email address is now verified. Please click “Apply for a WA Seniors Card” to commence your application.
