Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section have charged a 40-year-old man in relation to a serious crash that occurred in Henderson on Monday 11 November 2024. 
 
About 9:30am, a white Skoda station sedan and a white single cab Toyota Hilux were involved in a collision on Cockburn Road, southbound just before O’Kane Court. 
 
The 80-year-old male driver of the Skoda was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment of critical injuries. 
 
The 40-year-old driver of the Toyota was uninjured. 
 
A 40-year-old man from Forrestfield has been charged with:
• 1 x Dangerous Driving Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm – Under the Influence of Alcohol
• 1 x Driver Failed to Stop and Ensure Assistance received after Incident Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm
• 1 x Driver Fail to Report an Incident Occasioning Death or Grievous Bodily Harm
 
He is next due to appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court on Friday 22 November 2024. 
 
The investigation remains ongoing.
