Recycling and clean energy manufacturing is one of six priority areas supported by the Modern Manufacturing Initiative (MMI).

Funding for this priority area will be guided by the Recycling and Clean Energy National Manufacturing Priority road map. The road map identifies areas of opportunity. These include making recyclable products, making products from recycled feedstocks, making equipment for clean energy systems, and making low emissions products with clean energy. It also includes overlapping areas of opportunity related to advanced materials, and recycling components such as PV panels and batteries.

Grants of $1 million to $20 million are available. A Q&A is planned for 13 April 2021. Applications close 5 May 2021.

Projects must be completed by 31 March 2024.
