In March, the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission issued a General Order which increases the casual loading to 25% for all private sector and local government awards that currently have a casual loading below 25%. This change is effective from 26 April 2025.
New versions of the WA award summaries for relevant awards have been published with the new casual pay rates incorporating the 25% casual loading.
