In the Northern Goldfields, two new modular homes in Laverton have recently been completed with allocations of tenants in progress. Another two new homes in Lamington, Kalgoorlie are almost complete and will soon be ready to be occupied by people on our public housing waiting list. A further two modular homes are nearing completion in Leonora with only finishing touches remaining.
Murray River North (TR Homes) built the modular grouped houses in Maddington which were then transported to the region. Modular construction is one of several flexible build methods, including timber frame, spot purchasing and prefabricated builds aimed at delivering housing in the current heated construction market.
The timeframes for housing units to be delivered are impressive and the specifications and finishes on the completed homes are of a high quality and enhance the streetscape.
More than 200 modular homes are being delivered across WA as part of the State Government’s $2.4 billion record investment in housing and homelessness which will see 3,300 new social homes provided for vulnerable members of the Western Australian community.
