Man extradited from Brisbane to face sexual assault allegations

Sex Assault Squad Detectives have travelled to Brisbane to extradite a man who is facing sexual assault charges.

The 29-year-old man was taken into custody in Brisbane last night, Tuesday 8 October 2024 and appeared before the Brisbane Magistrates Court today, 9 October 2024 for approval of his extradition to WA. 

WA Police Sex Assault Squad detectives will allege on Saturday 28 September 2024, the man sexually assaulted a woman in her 20s, in his Perth hotel room after he had performed at a venue in Hillarys.

The 29-year-old man from the United Kingdom is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court tomorrow, 10 October 2024, on the charges of:
• Four counts of Sexual Penetration without Consent;
• Three counts of Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm; and
• One count of Impede a Person’s Normal Breathing or Circulation by Applying Pressure on, or to, their Neck.
