Homicide Squad detectives are investigating an incident that occurred in Waggrakine on Friday 29 November 2024.
About 6:25pm, emergency services received reports of a serious assault inside a residence on Melbourne Street.
Upon police and St. John WA arrival, a female occupant – aged in her 40’s – was located with serious injuries.
Emergency treatment was provided, but the woman died as a result of injuries sustained.
A 21-year-old man, who is believed to be involved in the incident was located at the scene and quickly apprehended.
He is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
Both parties are known to each other.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
