Since this web page was published, the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) Rules have been renamed the Electricity System and Market (ESM) Rules, and the Electricity Industry (Wholesale Electricity Market) Regulations 2004 (WEM Regulations) have been renamed the Electricity Industry (Electricity System and Market) Regulations 2004 (ESM Regulations). Changes have not been made to this web page to reflect this updated name.

The Coordinator of Energy (Coordinator) has appointed Generator Arbitrators and a Technical Panel of Experts for the purposes of establishing the dispute resolution mechanism accessible for existing generators in negotiating generator performance standards and monitoring plans under Section 1.42 of the Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM) Rules.

This dispute resolution mechanism commenced on 1 February 2021, with the Coordinator required to make these appointments by no later than 1 April 2021.
