Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Claremont on Monday 16 December 2024. 

About 3:20pm, a white Subaru Outback station sedan and a pedestrian collided in the carpark of a business on Stirling Highway. 

Emergency services attended the scene.

The 79-year-old male pedestrian received critical injuries and was conveyed to Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, where he was declared deceased as a result of injuries sustained. 

The 73-year-old male driver was uninjured.
