Duncraig early education provider penalised for inadequate supervision of children

The approved provider Nest Early Education Services Pty Ltd which operates the service, Nido Early School Duncraig, was ordered to pay a penalty of $20,000 for contravening section 165(1) of the Education and Care Services National Law (WA) Act 2012 for the offence of inadequate supervision of a child.

A Department of Communities investigation found that the provider had failed to provide adequate supervision to three children.

Nest Early Education Services Pty Ltd was also ordered to pay $2,000 towards the Department’s legal costs.
