Charge Up Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Grants - Round 3 launch

News story
A new round of Charge Up Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Grants has been announced to help WA organisations cover up to half the cost to install EV chargers at their destinations and workplaces to support the State’s transition to EVs.
Last updated:

The Charge Up Electric Vehicle Charging Grants support not for-profit organisations, small to medium businesses, and local government authorities to install up to four EV chargers ranging from 7kW up to 350kW at each site, with up to five sites allowed per applicant.

The Grants are designed to increase the availability and connectivity of EV chargers across the State, to support EV uptake, and provide greater opportunities for EV drivers to charge off-peak when solar energy is most abundant to ease pressure on the electricity grid.

To date, over $4.5 million in grant funding has been approved to assist the installation of 611 chargers in 341 locations throughout the State. Applications for Round 3 close on 30 June 2025, or when available funding is fully committed.
