The Coordinator of Energy (Coordinator) is conducting a review of the reference technologies for setting the Benchmark Reserve Capacity Prices (BRCP).

The BRCP Reference Technology Review aims to ensure that the WEM Rules provide sufficient incentives for investment in new capacity to maintain system security and reliability at efficient cost to consumers.

Energy Policy WA has developed a Consultation Paper outlining the findings and proposals of the BRCP Reference Technology Review and has published this for consultation.

Energy Policy WA requests stakeholder feedback on this Consultation Paper by 5:00pm (AWST) on 30 November 2023. Feedback can be sent to energymarkets@dmirs.wa.gov.au. Late submissions may not be considered.
