On Saturday 21 October, staff from Emergency Relief and Support, Community Services and Aboriginal Outcomes were at Perth Airport to welcome people back to Australia. Both the purple shirts (Communities) and red shirts (Red Cross Volunteers), a welcome sight for passengers disembarking from the KC30 Royal Australian Airforce Plane.

Our presence alongside Red Cross at the international airport meant we could triage and support repatriates; help them navigate complex travel requirements, assist with personal necessities, and provide wellbeing services.

We recognise that there will be members of our community who are deeply impacted by the continuing conflict in Israel and Gaza. If you or someone you know needs support, please visit the Department of Home Affairs website.
