Arson Squad officers are investigating several scrub fires that occurred in the Orelia, Kwinana, Medina and Calista areas, during the evening of Sunday 20 October 2024.
Department of Fire and Emergency Services extinguished the scrubs fires located on:
• Christmas Ave, Littlemore Road and Elmore Place in Orelia;
• Gilmore Ave and Brownell Crescent in Media;
• Harley Way in Medina;
• Seabrook Way and Stanyford Way in Kwinana;
• Sulphur Road, Kwinana
• Westbrook Street in Calista; and
• Near the golf course on Summerton Road, Calista.
The cause of these fires is being treated as suspicious and Arson Squad officers wish to speak to anyone who saw any suspicious persons, vehicles, or activity, near ,or in the above locations during Sunday night.

Rewards of up to $25,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
