Strike Force Vulcan officers have charged a 30-year-old man as a result of their investigation into a series of scrub fires which occurred in Spearwood between January and April 2025.
It will be alleged the man set fire to vegetation along the train lines on Rockingham Road and Goldsmith Road.
The fires were all extinguished before they could spread to nearby businesses and homes.
The 30-year-old man from Spearwood was charged with:
• 12 counts of Wilfully Light or Cause to be Lit a Fire Likely to Injure or Damage.
He is next due to appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court today, 22 April 2025.
