As a result of information received from members of the community and an investigation by specialist Arson Squad detectives, a 19-year-old man has been charged with setting a fire in Beechboro.
It is alleged about 12.50am on Monday 18 November 2024, the man in company with other males, set fire to the cricket nets located at Maguire Park in Beechboro.
Department of Fire and Emergency Services attended and extinguished the before it could spread, potentially to nearby homes. Damage is estimated at $5,000.
