Armadale Detectives have charged a 61-year-old man after an incident in Armadale on Saturday 23 November 2024.
It will be alleged an altercation occurred between the man and a taxi driver. During the altercation it is alleged the 61-year-old man damaged the taxi and threatened the driver with what appeared to be a firearm.
Police attended the location and a search was executed of a residence on Lewis Court in Armadale. It will be further alleged, during the search, police located and seized over 20 imitation and home-made firearms.
The 61-year-old man from Armadale has been charged with:
• Assaulted the Driver of a Taxi;
• Criminal Damage; and
• Being Armed in a Way that may Cause Fear.
He is due to appear before the Armadale Magistrates Court on 2 December 2024.
