Volunteers with five years’ volunteering service or more can be nominated (or self-nominate) for a WA Volunteer Service Award.

The WA Volunteer Service Awards thank and acknowledge volunteers who contribute their time and talents to support their communities.

Since the WA Volunteer Service Awards commenced in 2012, a total 3,579 individuals have been recognised for their incredible service to Western Australian communities.

All eligible nominees are awarded with a Certificate of Recognition and congratulatory letter signed by the Minister for Volunteering.

Nominees recognised for categories over 20 years of voluntary service also receive a commemorative pin.
Nomination categories recognise years of volunteering contribution and include:

  • 5 – 9 years of voluntary service
  • 10 – 19 years of voluntary service
  • 20 – 29 years of voluntary service
  • 30 – 39 years of voluntary service
  • 40 – 49 years of voluntary service
  • 50 – 59 years of voluntary service
  • Lifetime of voluntary service (60 plus years of volunteering).
