Road Safety Minister Paul Papalia is urging people to make safety rating a high priority when buying a second-hand vehicle.
The 2021 Used Car Safety Ratings Guide which has just been released, helps used car buyers prioritise safety by providing safety ratings for 276 used vehicle models manufactured from 2000 onwards.
If you’re wanting to maximise your safety and the safety of others, look for a vehicle with a 5 star Driver Protection rating and a ‘SAFER PICK’ marker.
