Vocational education and training (VET) is about skilling people for industry and for the workplace with the expectation that at the completion of training the learner is work ready. This means the training and assessment delivered by RTOs should accurately reflect workplace requirements.
In this YouTube webinar, you will cover the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 (Clauses 1.5, 1.6 and 1.13) that require RTOs:
- ensure training engagement and assessment practices are informed by industry engagement
- implement strategies for industry engagement
- systematically use the outcomes of that engagement to ensure the industry relevance of its training and assessment strategies, practices and resources
- ensure the current industry skills of its trainers and assessors.
