Firewood can only be collected for private use and selling firewood is not permitted.  

South West

You do not need a permit to gather firewood for personal use in the South West of Western Australia.

Maps are provided as an indication of the areas where firewood collection is permitted.  

Perth Hills

To gather firewood in the Perth Hills you need to hold a permit and only one load is permitted within a 60 day period.  

Authority can be granted for private use, by applying in person at any of the listed Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions offices or other authorised outlets. Information on where to purchase a firewood collection authority is available on the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions website.

Rules and limits apply to the amount of firewood permitted and fees apply.
