Drink driving remains the 2nd largest behavioural factor causing fatalities (20%) on WA roads. Campaigns over many years have been effective in reducing road trauma, yet 18% of WA drivers, despite knowing the danger of drink driving, still offend. While addressing this audience is critical, so is the general population – as they are advocates and influencers that drink driving is inacceptable behaviour.
The summer holiday season is one of high risk, where low-level drink driving is more likely to be justified as a ‘one-off’ or being within self-justified limits. The campaign compels you to reconsider your own choices during these vulnerable moments.
