Show moreWhat salary will I earn?
$85,555 - $108,501 per annum plus 11% employer superannuation plus generous leave provisions and other work benefits. An additional 5% salary may be available for flexible training delivery in agreed circumstances.
Do I require any qualifications to apply?
You must have a trade, vocational or tertiary qualification for your field of expertise, and any licences or registrations that are currently required to work in your field. In order to teach a certificate level or diploma course, as a minimum, you’ll need to have that level qualification yourself.
Lecturers are required to hold or obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 (or equivalent) to deliver accredited vocational education and training in accordance with the Registered Training Organisation Standards. No prior lecturing experience is required. Applicants who do not have this qualification are strongly encouraged to apply. WA TAFE colleges support their employees through free in-house training and up to 160 hours of working time to attain the qualification.
Can I keep working in my industry?
Yes, lecturers are encouraged to maintain their industry network and local business connections to keep abreast of technical and other developments.
