Important information!
This online request form is only a REQUEST to provide your phone number.
Your details will be provided to the prisoner and it is the prisoner's decision to add a number to their phone account.
Allow up to 5 business days for the prisoner to be able to call you.
Expected timeline of your request:
- The Prisoner should receive your number either the same or next business day
- If the Prisoner decides to add your number, they will complete a telephone request form and provide it to their Unit Officers.
- You will receive a phone call from a Unit Officer to confirm your identity and you are willing to accept phone calls from the Prisoner. Your number will need to be verified by an officer from Greenough Regional Prison (GRP). You may receive a call from a private number, this may be GRP calling to confirm your details.
- This request form will then be sent onwards to have your phone number added to the Prisoners account. This usually takes another business day or two.
Important requirements!
The identity and relationship to the prisoner must be verified before a phone number can be placed to a Prisoner's phone account.
This will be done once a request is submitted by the prisoner after receiving the phone number.
Phone numbers will not be accepted when it appears that the number:
- breaches an active restraining order
- has been requested for a removal in the past.
Allow up to 5 business days for the request to be actioned.
Note: Requests to re-add a number must be in writing to the Superintendent of Greenough Regional Prison.
