Western Australian Renewable Hydrogen Grants

The WA Government's Renewable Hydrogen Grants are designed to support the growth of the renewable hydrogen industry in WA.

Renewable Hydrogen Fund

Round 1 and Round 2 of the Renewable Hydrogen Fund are now closed, and more information can be found on the projects supported through these rounds can be found here.

Hydrogen Fuelled Transport Program

In late 2021 the WA Government announced an initial $10 million to accelerate the uptake of hydrogen fuelled transport as part of the $61.5 million announced in the 2021-22 State Budget to drive renewable hydrogen development and demand stimulation.  This program forms part of the $750 million Climate Action Fund. 

The Expressions of Interest and Submission process for the Hydrogen Fuelled Transport Program has now closed. In August 2021 the Premier and Minister for Hydrogen Industry announced Woodside Energy's Hydrogen Refueller @H2Perth located in the Rockingham Industry Zone as the successful proponent.
