The WA Innovator of the Year Awards Wesfarmers Wellbeing Platinum Award recognises WA innovators who have developed an outstanding innovative product, technology, process or service that advances social or medical wellbeing in the community.

The Western Australia Innovator of the Year (WAIOTY) program has showcased innovative and entrepreneurial individuals, businesses and creative minds since 2006.

All finalists for the WAIOTY program will receive a wide range of commercialisation training and development opportunities, including one-on-one mentoring sessions, a professional photo and video shoot, as well as workshops and webinars on pitch presentation, protecting your IP, grant writing and much more.

This year 5 finalists have been chosen for the Wesfarmers Wellbeing Platinum Award.

Earflo (Earbuddy Pty Ltd)

EarFlo is an innovative medical device developed to treat young children who suffer from chronic ear infections and restoring their hearing. Instead of undergoing “grommet” surgery, which is the usual treatment option, the EarFlo device offers a non-surgical alternative.


Inspiring Holdings Pty Ltd

The Universal Spacer System (USS) is proprietary technology that, for the first time ever, applies effective spacer (reservoir) capacity to all forms of current inhalation drug delivery devices - MDIs (puffers), Nebulisers and Dry Powder delivery devices (DPIs).

ClearDrum aims to be the first prosthetic eardrum on the market. It is being developed for the repair of chronic eardrum perforations, a major cause of disability for children and adults globally.
