Tape Ark provides cloud migration and remastering of tape media for mass data preservation. Their work reduces the loss of data that was captured on tapes from the 1960’s to the present day. Offline data stored on magnetic tapes is prone to deterioration and loss and is difficult to access or restore if kept in proprietary backup formats. The company processes over 2 petabytes of data to the cloud per day and is the world's largest data liberation company.
