WA Biodiscovery Bill: Future stakeholder engagement

We are continuing to work on the development of the Bill and are keen to hear your views.
Last updated:

The WA Biodiscovery Bill will provide a framework for accessing Western Australia's native plants and animals for use in biodiscovery research.

We have developed proposals for the key requirements of the Bill, and a possible process model for how biodiscovery activities could be carried out. To achieve this, we consulted other WA government agencies involved in managing WA’s native resources, and included feedback from Aboriginal people, researchers and businesses.

Stay informed

We are keen to keep talking with all stakeholders about the Bill. We want to hear from Aboriginal people and communities, researchers and businesses.

If you would like to participate in the next stage of the Bill's development, register your interest so that we can contact you.
