About
This consultation was open to all stakeholders across WA including Aboriginal people and representative organisations, researchers and businesses. The purpose was to communicate findings and recommendations from the first consultation phase, and ask for feedback on a possible model for how the WA Biodiscovery Bill (the Bill) could function.
We promoted consultation activities by emailing stakeholders and running a social media campaign that created more than 640,000 impressions. There were also radio advertisements on 8 stations in English and 3 Aboriginal dialects. Flyers and posters were sent to representative organisations.
There were 108 consultation participants from a range of stakeholder groups. Feedback and comments were analysed to identify common themes, issues and ideas.
