This program offers Aboriginal undergraduates the opportunity to contribute to statewide projects and initiatives, leveraging your skills and knowledge to positively impact the Western Australian economy.
Your diverse work may include event planning, stakeholder management, speech and government writing or analytical research, so no matter what area you study, we encourage you to apply.
The program is for one year, with the option to extend for another one to 2 years, giving you the chance to progress your career with our department.
Program highlights
- Attractive salary that increases each year
- Reimbursement for up to half of your course fees for the last 2 years of your degree to a maximum of $20,000 (conditions apply)

After successfully completing the program and your university degree, you will have the opportunity to be considered for a full time permanent position in our department. You may also apply for other roles at JTSI or in the WA public sector, as advertised on the WA government jobs board. A reimbursement scheme is also available to cover part costs of your course (contact us if you need more information).
