Registrations of interest for the provision of Science Advisory Services, as Chief Scientist of Western Australia (Chief Scientist) opened Friday 18 October and close 5:00pm (AWST) Friday 29 November 2024. 

About 

After an illustrious 10 years, the tenure of the currently appointed Chief Scientist of Western Australia will end in June 2025.

The WA Government is seeking registrations of interest (ROI) for providing Science Advisory Services to the Minister for Science as the next Chief Scientist. The Chief Scientist provides advice on matters covering science, technology and innovation in WA, including how science, technology and innovation can help diversify and decarbonise the WA economy and contribute more broadly to the wellbeing of Western Australians.

The Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) is coordinating the ROI and appointment processes. JTSI is seeking registrations of interest to identify potential candidates.

Interested parties may be invited to submit a quote for services in the future in accordance with the Western Australia Procurement Act 2020 and the WA Procurement Rules.

Please use the form below to submit your ROI. Registrations of interest from outside Western Australia are welcome, however, the appointed WA Chief Scientist will need to reside in Western Australia.
