The WA Government in collaboration with industry and the unions, organised the Mining Industry Summit: Driving Respect. The event was held on 1 August 2023 at Optus Stadium.

The aim of the Summit was to educate, inspire and empower WA mining industry leaders to drive respect and take meaningful action towards preventing and responding to workplace sexual harassment.

It was attended by 1,200 attendees from across the WA mining sector who could contribute to driving and influencing lasting cultural change. These include CEOs, board members, site senior executives, industry bodies, operational, HSE and HR leaders, as well as union representatives and elected health and safety representatives.
