This publication provides recent summary statistics about people who were killed in a crash on Western Australian roads or road-related areas that are open to the public. This excludes deliberate, premeditated acts that intended to cause harm, such as suicide. This also generally excludes crashes caused by a driver suffering a medical episode. A fatality is defined as a person killed either immediately, or within 30 days of the crash as a result of injuries sustained in that crash.
The statistics in this report may change in the future due to police investigation or coronial findings. For this reason, comparisons between this publication and others may result in discrepancies. This publication adopts WA Police Force boundaries.
