About this guide
This explanatory guide forms part of the toolkit to assist WA Government agencies understand and implement the requirements of the 2023 Western Australian Government Intellectual Property Policy.
The guide includes:
- introductory information about the framework for managing WA government IP;
- guidance for developing agency IP policies and procedures; and
- information about identifying, protecting, managing and disposing of WA government IP assets.
Customisable templates
The following templates and checklists are intended as a guide for agencies developing IP management policies and procedures. Agencies are encouraged to customise these documents to reflect their own policies, procedures and terminologies.
