State agencies can use this template to purchase goods, services and simple maintenance works services that are:
- low risk;
- low complexity; and
- valued up to $50,000.
For maintenance services, this includes ‘everyday’ maintenance services that involve a single trade (e.g. a painter, glazier, electrician or plumber). Please refer to the template for additional guidance.
This template provides:
- Simple, standard contract terms for low value purchases
- A consistent template and process for suppliers dealing with the WA Government
- Flexibility to purchase directly from a supplier or undertake a simple quote process
- Special conditions for simple, low risk maintenance works services
- Clear contract documentation to assist with contract management
The Very Simple Contract Terms contained in the template are the mandatory minimum form of contract for goods and services procurement valued below $50,000, unless:
- using a purchasing card or
- the value, risk, complexity and/or type of procurement requires a different form of contract (see Rule D1.2 Form of Contract).
The Very Simple Contract Terms are not designed for community services. Please refer to the template for more information about when it can be used.
