The Strategic Forward Procurement Plan (SFPP) Public Report contains data on procurements valued at $250,000 and above planned by Government agencies across two financial years. The SFPP data is available in a Business Intelligence (BI) dashboard and includes goods, services, community services and works procurements.
Industry and suppliers can use the SFPP data to identify upcoming opportunities to contract with the WA Government.
A planned procurement is any identified procurement activity that is still in the planning stage, i.e. before a Request document has been published on Tenders WA. You can visit Tenders WA to view currently advertised opportunities.
Inclusion of planned procurements in this report does not mean that a tender will be released publicly. Agencies have several procurement methods at their disposal depending on their circumstances, including purchasing from Common Use Arrangements, purchasing from a Registered Aboriginal Business under the Aboriginal Procurement Policy or direct sourcing. See Rule C4 Procurement Method and Rule C5 Exceptions to Procurement Methods in the Western Australian Procurement Rules for more information.
These contracting opportunities are provided as a guide only and are subject to change. Any estimated values are based on current values only and may not reflect the future value of the requirement.
WA Government agencies are required to update their SFPP data annually, although they may update their data more frequently if they choose. The most recent annual submission period was July 2024.
Some procurements associated with infrastructure programs or projects are not reported in the SFPP and Finance is working to improve this in future reports. More information about the WA Government’s infrastructure projects can be found at the Pipeline of Work.
