Samson Brook Catchment Area drinking water source protection plan - WRP 50

Plan
Drinking water source protection plan for the Samson Brook Catchment Area
Last updated:

This drinking water source protection plan has been developed to help protect the quality of water in the Samson Brook Catchment to ensure the supply of safe drinking water.

The plan details the location and boundary of the drinking water catchment, which provides potable water to the Waroona and Hamel town water supply and Integrated Water Supply System. It describes the water supply system, discusses existing and future land uses, identifies risks, and recommends management approaches to address those risks and maximise protection of the catchment.

The plan was reviewed in the Samson Brook Catchment Area drinking water source protection review (2019), which considers changes that have occurred in and around the catchment since the completion of this plan. The two documents should be read alongside each other to obtain all of the information about this drinking water source.
