Chapter 7 of the River restoration manual
Last updated:

The River restoration manual is a series of guidelines on the nature, rehabilitation and long-term management of waterways in Western Australia. The chapters of the series collectively form the manual.

This chapter provides an introduction to some of the important ecosystem processes that control the structure of plant and animal communities living within and along waterways. It also describes some of the human activities or pressures that threaten Western Australian aquatic ecosystems. Pressures resulting from climate change are not dealt with.
