This project aims to assess the effectiveness of the Framework for the assessment of river and wetland health in the flowing waters of the south-west of Western Australia.
To do this, two field trials and a series of desktop studies are being conducted. The first trial was conducted in the spring of 2008, and the second will be conducted in the spring of 2009.
As there was no existing river health program across the south-west of Western Australia which could be used for the FARWH, the first round of trials focused on indicator development. The second round of field trials concentrated on refining indicators.
