Policy framework for inland drainage

Policy
Framework for the clear and co-ordinated approach to inland drainage across inland WA.
Last updated:

The Policy Framework for inland drainage was developed to guide the use of drainage as an option for inland farmers to manage salinity and waterlogging.

The framework guides better management of water resources and public assets by addressing governance, risk management, planning and assessment, and operation and maintenance of drainage projects in inland Western Australia.

It includes principles for assessing drainage proposals and makes recommendations on how to streamline and integrate the assessment process between government agencies.
