This position statement supersedes Planning Bulletin 67 - Guidelines for Wind Farm Development (May 2004).
The key intent of the position statement is to facilitate growth of the evolving renewable energy industry in Western Australia through implementation of policy measures via planning instruments administered by local government.
The position statement will apply to the redevelopment of existing, as well as new renewable energy facilities. This position statement supports the State Government’s State Energy Transformation Strategy (March 2019).
