Perth Coastal Underground Water Pollution Control Area drinking water source protection assessment

Plan
Drinking water source protection assessment for the Perth Coastal Underground Water Pollution Control Area
Last updated:

This drinking water source protection assessment presents an initial assessment of the risks to water quality in Perth Coastal Underground Water Pollution Control Area. It is part of the ongoing process of protecting the quality of the public groundwater supply drawn from the public drinking water source area.

The plan details the water supply system, discusses existing and future land uses, identifies risks, and recommends management approaches to address those risks and maximise protection of the catchment.

The plan was reviewed in the Perth Coastal and Gwelup Underground Water Pollution Control Area drinking water source protection review (2012), which considers changes that have occurred in and around the water reserve since the completion of this plan. The two documents should be read alongside each other to obtain all of the information about this drinking water source.
